The Pianists’ Field Hospital is a half-day triage and treatment seminar for universities, colleges, conservatories and schools in which students and tutors examine the prognosis of a pianist on the brink of turning professional. Richard Meyrick performs 100 concerts a year and has a lifetime’s teaching experience.

The formative years of study and early professional development are critical and Richard knows the hurdles and pitfalls that must be overcome and imparts insider secrets. His rewarding and thought-provoking consultation serves as both panacea to students and a Professional Development Forum for faculty members

A day at The Pianists’ Field Hospital commences with Richard’s 50-minute recital. His acclaimed artistic integrity, emotional commitment, communicative power combined with virtuoso technique, guarantee this performance will electrify and enthral.

Triage and Treatment – The MASTERCLASS
Up to five students experience life on the edge, learn how to apply the sharpness of a surgeon’s scalpel to their performances, and acquire revolutionary new practice techniques.  Richard evokes incisive listening skills and demonstrates how to attain the supreme physical agility mandatory to great performance and public expectation.
