World Tour 2008/2009
Richard Meyrick is busy making plans for the exciting debut of The Pianists’ Field Hospital during a world tour.
The Pianists’ Field Hospital is a survival course for the young pianist about to fledge their wings and the faculty overseeing this process.
Lecture series
Richard is pencilling in dates for North America, Australia and New Zealand. But the programme is flexible and any interested school, music camp or teaching organisation is encouraged to contact Richard.
Educational, encouraging and entertaining
Richard is passionate about teaching and a born performer, so the half-day Field Hospital is guaranteed to be thought-provoking and fun. Students and teachers will learn from Richard and from each other, and get a new perspective on musicianship.
Home truths
The Pianists’ Field Hospital will give you a prescription for emotionally expressive playing, a care plan for quantifiable work objectives, painless plan for keeping fit, and therapy for stage presence.
Richard performs 100 concerts a year and has a lifetime’s teaching experience. He knows what it is like for a pianist to face an audience.
Richard will update this page as the World Tour takes shape.
Testimony
“The masterclass which Richard Meyrick gave for EPTA (European Piano Teachers' Association) Wessex was among the most successful we’ve held. His comments & suggestions were perfectly judged for the performers and audience, who were kept enthralled by his entertaining manner – as much as they were by Richard’s virtuosity in the subsequent recital.” Maxwell Steer |
